We decided to join forces and put our creativity together to give life to an intuition and meet a need that had never been identified before. And so our brand was born. Movitra stems from the encounter of three creative minds, three professionals and friends: Filippo, Giuseppe e Diego.

It's like when you drive up a straight road, no surprises, and suddenly a deviation puts on your path unknown, new possibilities and scenarios that are unexpected. Movitra takes its name from the Latin "Movere"that means movement, and "Vitra" that means glass. So a lens that moves in a fluid, dynamic, like a water-course that you can't stop, as the passion and the courage to dare.

Movitra was born in 2016 in an apartment in Milan, during a day that seemed to be the same as the others. The former idea was born on a beach, on a sunny afternoon. A woman bends over to take her son in his arms, in the mid time her glasses fell to the ground, with the lens pointing down:irreparably scratched.

For many, a situation as another, for the woman an hassle to fix. For the founders of Movitra is the fuse that starts a beautiful journey.

Movitra responds to a need that no one had thought before: protect the lenses of their glasses.


Movitra has the goal to revolutionize the eyewear industry by combining the innovative idea to change the perspective with a contemporary vision of design, high quality materials and traditional craftsmanship.


The road, a clear and precise one: allow the frame to rotate on itself (thanks to a mechanism located at the center) in order to close the temples on both sides and be able to protect the lenses from accidental bumps and scratches.


From the registration of the patent to protect the idea the challenge are no stop: the market is competitive, the supply chain is complex, the nights are sleepless, despite all the desire is not lacking.


The three work tirelessly, along with the rest of the team to reduce the overall dimensions, arriving to develop mechanisms more and more subtle and functional.


Experimenting with new materials and new techniques, the screws are deleted, giving way to the welding laser.

This small, great revolution allows the brand to develop different shapes and thicknesses, adapting the timeless style of the different models to the innovative soul of Movitra.
